2021 – POPE COUNTY FAIR
Cattle, Swine, Goats, Sheep, Poultry, Rabbits, Horse and Dog will compete.
Celebrating 80 Years of Tradition!
The Pope County Fair started in 1941 and has been an summer tradition in Pope County Arkansas for over seventy years. The Fair is a place where families can spend the day together and share experiences they can only experience at the Fair. There are animal shows, 4-H demonstrations, horticulture displays, rides, games, live music, arts & crafts, food and commercial vendors with various arts and crafts for sale.
The Pope County Fair livestock shows are the annual showcase of the best of the best, with exhibitors from Russellville, Dover, Atkins, Pottsville and other areas as well as hundreds of animals from the dairies and ranches in Pope County.
Livestock at the Pope County Fair includes a variety of animals stalled for view from Tuesday thru Saturday of the fair. Housed in the Poultry / Rabbit Area are chickens, guineas, turkeys, and quail, as well as both pet rabbits and meat rabbits. Those animals will be shown Tuesday and Wednesday of the fair. Stalled in the barn areas are pigs, shown on Wednesday evening, Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, and Sheep set to show on Thursday morning, Dairy and Meat goats will conclude the showing schedule on Thursday afternoon. A Petting Zoo will be set up in the arena during the day on Friday followed in the evening by the Pope County Fair Market Sale. Livestock Exhibitors will come together Saturday afternoon for an awards ceremony honoring the week’s prize winning animals and top scoring youths.
