The Pope County Fair started in 1941 and has been an summer tradition in Pope County Arkansas for over seventy years. The Fair is a place where families can spend the day together and share experiences they can only experience at the Fair. There are animal shows, 4-H demonstrations, horticulture displays, rides, games, live music, arts & crafts, food and commercial vendors with various arts and crafts for sale.

“River Valley’s Got Talent“
The Pope County Fair Association is proud to announce they will be holding the 1st annual “River Valley’s Got Talent” this year at the fair. This competition is open to talents of all types. Tryouts will be held at the Russellville Chamber of Commerce, 708 W. Main Street, on August 29th from 10am-2pm. Entry fee is $15.00 and registration forms will be available at the auditions. Finals will be held on Thursday, September 17th (Kids) at 6:00 pm and Friday, September 18th (Adults) at 6:00 pm at the Pope County Fairgrounds. Cash and other prizes will be awarded for the top three places in each category.

The Fair features the best in wholesome family fun and entertainment. More than 40,000 people attended in September, 2014, with an anticipated 50,000 this year. The Pope County Fair is a great place to get up close and personal with the farm animals, enjoy a world of fun foods and the thrill of amusement rides.
The Pope County 4-H Program consists of 300 young people, many volunteer leaders and an Extension staff working to make our communities better places.
